If it pinches or squeezes, even the most beautiful bra in your closet won't bring you joy. These are the most common bra fit problems and our tips to help you feel comfortable in your bra:

The underbust band provides the necessary support for your bra, which is why it is important to wear the right size. If it digs in, you are probably wearing a bra size that is too small. If the underbust band rides up at the back, it is likely too loose and you are wearing a band size that is too large. Either choose a tighter hook or try a smaller band size.

Are your breasts spilling over the cups? Then you either need a larger bra cup size or a larger band size if the underband also feels too tight. Are you not fully filling out your cups? Then try a smaller cup size. If your bra underband is also too loose, try a smaller band size.

The straps should run parallel to each other on your back and should neither slip nor dig in. If the straps dig in, loosen them slightly. If they slip, pull the straps a bit tighter.

The bra gore should lie as flat as possible against your body, without digging in or gaping.

Tip 1: Washing your bra

Even if your bra doesn't look dirty, you should wash it gently every two to five days. The reason: sebum, perfume residue, or body lotion can damage the bra fabric over time. Note: Don't forget to use a laundry bag to protect your bra during the wash!

Tip 2: Drying your bra

Do you hang your bras lengthwise on the line after washing? Better not, as they can easily lose their shape. It is much better to lay the bra flat on a drying rack or hang it by the center bridge so the weight is distributed evenly.

Tip 3: Temperature

Always pay attention to the care label instructions. For bras, a 30-degree wash (approx. 85°F) is often more than enough. Almost all detergents are also suitable for low washing temperatures.

How to find your bra size:

Once you have found your size at Lidl, you will always know which size to choose with us. This applies to every type of clothing, not just underwear. Romantic lace bra, simple bra, or push-up bra: when it comes to bras, the right fit is particularly important. For the perfect fit, especially the band size (e.g., 75, 80, 85), the underbust measurement plays a crucial role. For the correct cup size (A, B, C, D), the bust measurement is also key.

How to measure your bra size:

It is best to measure yourself while wearing an unpadded bra.

The underbust measurement is taken directly under the bust. Stand up straight and breathe normally.
The bust measurement measures your body circumference at the fullest part of your chest. Do not wrap the tape measure too loosely or too tightly, and make sure it stays level and does not slip while measuring.
